The Armenian Assembly of America is currently seeking unpaid interns for our Government Affairs, Communications and Research departments in our Washington, D.C. office for the 2013 fall semester. Start/stop dates are flexible (September-December).
The ideal Government Affairs internship candidate will be studying/have experience working in the U.S. Congress and government, political science and/or public policy. The ideal Communications internship candidate will be studying/have experience in journalism, traditional and social media, video/photo editing, and strong English language proficiency. Experience with web design and HTML are preferred, but not required. The ideal Research internship candidate will be studying/have knowledge of regional and international think-tanks, local, regional, national and international publications, and a strong ability to navigate Congressional and U.S. government agency databases. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess outstanding written and verbal communications skills, and demonstrate an ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment.
