Day 1: Interns Hard at Work

Updated: Aug 19, 2021

After our very first DC commute into the city, this group of hard-working interns of the Armenian Assembly’s Terjenian-Thomas Summer Internship Program is off to a great start. Currently, they are organizing and analyzing various news articles on the Armenian Genocide and current events in the Caucuses. Some of the sources they are researching and talking about are from several places worldwide such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the United States.

While this group is certainly assisting the Armenian Assembly of America office and ANI (Armenian National Institute), the interns are also discussing significant issues that are creating an intellectually stimulating conversation on Armenian-related politics and history. It is safe to say that this group of young Armenian-American leaders are well on their way to learning about what the Armenian Assembly of America stands for and becoming more informed on the issues that relate to their everyday lives as young Armenian-Americans
