
Washington, D.C. - The Armenian Assembly of America (Assembly) welcomes new State Chair Davit Melikian, who will represent North Carolina, and spearhead advocacy efforts in his home state.
"I am honored to serve as the North Carolina State Chair for the Armenian Assembly of America and to contribute to strengthening the relationship between the United States and Armenia," said Davit. "I look forward to raising awareness about Armenian issues and working with the Armenian-American community in North Carolina to advance our collective advocacy efforts."
A dedicated advocate for Armenian issues, Davit has participated in the Assembly's Advocacy Summits and has worked hard to raise awareness about Armenia, and Armenian history and culture. He is active in city and state politics, and involved in grassroots efforts to create meaningful change.

"We are happy to welcome Davit to the Armenian Assembly of America as its new North Carolina State Chair, and look forward to working together to build further momentum in the state and region regarding prioritizing Armenian issues," said Assembly Congressional Relations Director Mariam Khaloyan.
A small business entrepreneur and custom home builder based in Durham, North Carolina, Davit earned a Finance and Operations Management degree from University of North California Wilmington, and worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse prior to transitioning to entrepreneurship. Davit was born in Gyumri, Armenia, and immigrated with his family to the U.S. in 1995.
The Assembly will be holding its Spring 2025 Advocacy Summit from March 31 through April 2, 2025 in Washington, D.C. Registration and further details are available here.
