Registration Closes Monday, January 20, 2025


Washington, D.C. - The Armenian Assembly of America invites you to a special briefing for Assembly Members and guests on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 9:30 am -11:00 am at the Naples Grande Beach Resort during its Naples, Florida, weekend. Please note registration closes on Monday, January 20, 2025.


Members and guests will hear from special guest speaker Ambassador Edward Djerejian, who will share reflections on his career as an American diplomat of Armenian origin, discuss shifting politics and policies in the Middle East and Caucuses and its effects on Armenia’s independence, and speak about the new United States Government and Congressional leadership and its potential impact on Armenian issues. A question-and-answer session will follow.


Ambassador Djerejian, who is currently Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, served in eight Presidential Administrations, spanning from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton, followed by his service as US Ambassador to Syria and Israel. After retiring from the Foreign Service, he was the founding director of Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy.


The Member briefing will include an opportunity to discuss the 2025 advocacy and education projects of the Assembly. The evening event will include a cocktail reception, dinner, and music with the Mal Barsamian Band. Sponsorships are available with a reception for sponsors on Friday evening, January 31.
