Armenian Assembly of America to Hold Annual Members Meeting in Florida

Annual Members Meeting Will Take Place in Boca Raton, March 11-13, 2016


WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Armenian Assembly of America (Assembly) is pleased to announce the schedule for the Assembly’s Annual Members Meeting weekend in Boca Raton, Florida, March 11-13, 2016. This year’s meeting will feature a special book presentation with highly acclaimed photojournalist Scout Tufankjian, who will present her book entitled There is Only the Earth: Images from the Armenian Diaspora Project.

The Assembly’s Annual Members Meeting weekend will kick-off with a young professionals reception at Tap 42 in Boca Raton on Friday, March 11 at 7:00 PM with select appetizers and open bar. On Saturday, March 12, Assembly members are invited to a complimentary breakfast at 9:30 AM, followed by the annual trustees and members meeting from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A complimentary buffet brunch will be served after the meeting.


On Saturday night, guests are invited to a cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres and craft cocktails at 7:00 PM, with live musical guests Dick Barsamian (Oud), John Arzigian (Accordion), and Mike Gregian (Dumbeg). Tickets for the Saturday evening reception are $75 and can be purchased online.

The Assembly’s Annual Members Meeting weekend will conclude on Sunday, March 13 with a book presentation by Scout Tufankjian at 1:00 PM at St. David Armenian Church. The book presentation is free and open to the public, but online registration is required.


Individuals can sponsor the Assembly’s Annual Members Meeting at Gold ($2,500), Silver ($1,250), or Bronze ($750) level. Bronze sponsors will receive two tickets to the Saturday night cocktail reception. Silver sponsors will receive four tickets to the Saturday night cocktail reception. Gold sponsors will receive six tickets to the Saturday night cocktail reception.

The Assembly’s Annual Members Meeting weekend will take place at the Marriott Hotel at Boca Town Center, 5150 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton, FL 33486. Guests that are traveling from out of town should call (561) 392-4600 to reserve a room at the Assembly’s reduced rate of $179.00 per night using the code “ARMARMA.” Guests must book by February 17 to receive the Assembly’s reduced rate.
