National Chamber Ensemble Presents “Armenian Musical Treasures” Valentine’s Day Concert

On Saturday, February 13, National Chamber Ensemble (NCE) is performing a Valentine’s Day Concert entitled “Armenian Musical Treasures.” The concert will take place the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre in Washington, D.C., starting at 7:30 PM. NBC4’s Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer will return as guest host for the event.

NCE will perform musical works by famous Armenian composers Khachaturian, Komitas, Arutiunian and Babajanian, celebrating Armenian culture and playing exotic musical works of beauty and passion.

The concert will feature a world premiere collaboration with Bowen McCauley Dance set to the thrilling music of Aram Khachaturian’s ballet “Spartacus.” Dancers of Bowen McCauley Dance will perform the passionate Love Duet (Adagio) and more, with choreography by Lucy Bowen McCauley.

In addition, internationally renowned clarinetist Julian Milkis, the only pupil of the great Benny Goodman, returns to join violinist/Artistic Director Leo Sushansky and piano virtuoso Carlos Cesar Rodriguez.
